What Packing Supplies Do I Need for My Office Move?

Your upcoming office relocation may be weighing on your mind. Perhaps you feel overwhelmed or unsure about the first steps to take to get started. After all, you want to do this right! It seems simple and maybe obvious, but getting organized when it comes to packing supplies can set the tone for your entire move. In other words, if you just fly by the seat of your pants and figure out packing supplies as you go, your move could be a hot mess.

Office Relocations Done Right with the Right Packing Supplies

  • Boxes, boxes…and more boxes. You really can’t have too many boxes. If you think you have enough, get a few more. It’s astounding how many your office move will require. These boxes will keep your items safe in the moving vehicle and help you stack as many items as possible as you go. It’s much more effective to have items in boxes than it is to have them haphazardly piled into the back of a truck or van.
  • Special moving blankets. When you are moving office furniture or equipment, thick moving blankets will keep them protected. Without them, you could wind up with scratched furniture or broken computer monitors. Moving blankets will keep your items that are too large for boxes from banging into each other and causing damage.
  • Tape and Bubble Wrap. Consider these the mandatory accessories for your moving boxes. You will need to seal all those boxes with tape, and the bubble wrap will provide the necessary cushion to keep your items safe during the move. The wrap can also help to fill up those empty spaces in boxes, so the items don’t get too jostled during the trip.
